Bobcat 743 help with aux hydraulics

So I finally got around to installing my grapple. I lifted the cab and removed the long bolt on the right hand steering stick. I installed new flat face couplers. There is not much resistance when moving the right hand stick right or left. It does seem to detent when pushed far right. However, my grapple does not open or close. What should be my first steps in trouble shooting this? Thanks

The long bolt should not be removed, it's a short one that stops the lever from moving. Did you remove the wrong bolt?
With the locking bolt out, as you move the lever, you should see the rod move the spool in and out.
