Bobcat 743 fuel problems. NEED HELP!!

Looking for help! My bobcat 743 will run fine for about 10 minutes when I first start it and then sputters and acts like it runs out of fuel. If I stop immediately it will then still idle fine but if you rev it up it will eventually sputter and die. Have had this problem for years but not every time I use it, only occasionally. I have recently replaced fuel filter, replaced a second in-line fuel filter that was filthy, installed an in-line electric fuel pump that is working properly, and still having problems. I also use a fuel conditioner every time I put fuel in it. It still doesn"t seem to get enough fuel so I"m stumped. Could it be another issue all together? I'm wondering how hard it is to remove the gas tank and see if there is sediment in it that would be blocking fuel line. Any suggestions anyone????? Please? Thanks.
 
Usually you can service without removing the tank. There are 2 lines on the top of the tank, one supply, one return. The supply line is the one that goes to the little shutoff valve. Pry the elbow for that line out of the tank and see if the fuel pickup hose is cracked/broken or the screen plugged/worn through. Replace these parts as needed. If the old screen has a hole worn in it you should also clean out the elbow fitting, little valve, and primer bulb, as debris can get trapped there when it gets past the screen.

mrfixit: thanks for the quick reply, going to try that ASAP. Didn't realize the fuel lines were on top of tank.
 
As already said, clean or replace anything necessary between tank and engine. If your tank has junk it in, your wasting your time with everything else - it will immediately get dirty again. We had a guy drain our fuel tank, clean it, and change all filters. Ran various treatments and injector cleaners since. Machine runs better than it ever has now, but blew lots of smoke and small bits if sediment first tank or so - would assume from the cleaners/treatments used.
