bobcat 742 hydrastatic problem

Hi, have a 1980 bobcat 742 with the 4 cylinder gas Ford engine. Last week we worked it quite hard drilling 36" holes for trees around the acreage. Now, when you go to try to move the unit both forward and backwards it "screeches" a lot and doesn't move much. The hydraulics work fine just the movement is not good. Any ideas? Thanks

If your serial number is 14999 or below there's a bronze filter in the port block that could be clogged.
