Does anyone know the reason for the left stick being spring loaded? Mine will pull over to the right quite a bit but doesn't seem to do anything. When pulled over the left stick joins the right stick in some sort of linking action, but the fit is so loose I can't imagine what the reason is. A coworker suggested it was to operate the auxiliary hydraulics but there is no linkage to the auxiliary spool valve.

Some machines were fitted with wear stabilizers, this is hooked up to the left stick. If you look in the engine bay, left side you should see two fittings near the blower with caps on them.
If you lift the cab, you may see a push/pull cable hooked up to the lever.
