I have a bobcat 643 and Its been a few months since I used it. When I went to start it up the other day it started fine and I drove it about 50 feet and shut it off. The starter was still spinning. I quickly disconnected the battery and seen a little smoke from the starter. I thought great its done. Well I started it up and it didnt do it again and I used it the rest of the day shutting it off a few times here and there. Do you think it could be from sitting for awhile? It has never done it before . Any tips on what could cause this? Starter solenoid, or ignition sticking or just sitting ?? Any help would be appreciated thanks.

It's possible as it was sitting, but it could be a bad solenoid. It could be the main starter solenoid on the starter its self, or the relay that drives it. Keep an eye on it, you don't want to fry the starter.
