Can anyone offer help troubleshooting the inoperative gas gauge. the wires are all there and hooked up. The rear light is missing and wires are just hanging. Might have something to do with it.
 
unplug the sending unit , jump the wires in the plug , if the gague goes to full then the wiring and the gague is good and the sender is bad

Its very common for the gauges to stop working. As Fishfiles stated, thats a good way of testing whats working or not. Senders are expensive, the gauges are not.

Thanks a lot.. did the test gauges and wiring appear ok.. will start looking for a sender.
