i did the recomended advice of taking the carburator off of the machine and checked the anti desiling valve and running carb cleaner through everything. i dont have the specs for the float level on the carb.. so how will i mesure the setting and what should the setting be... the machine still starts and runs but it wont rev up . acts like it just runs out of fuel at an idle. which makes me feel the advice of float levels are wrong. BUT it does have an after market fuel pump that pumps constantly when the key is on .. shouldnt it stop pumping after the bowl of the carb is full? any help will be apreicated. feel ignorant that i cant make this motor run. some gremlin i cant seem to find

If it has a after market pump it's kind of a sign this problem has been there for awhile. I would check the timing and vacuum advance and mechanical advance first. Had a 632 that acted just like that and replaced the fuel pump , cleaned the carb endlessly and it turned out to be timing issue. If the float is sitting pretty level when it holds the needle valve closed the level will be close enough usually, although on the zenith site you may find the measurement or in the sevice manual.
