Bobcat 632 engine

Does anyone know where I can find good engine for 632 Bobcat it has a 1.6-liter Ford Model # 2274E, customer does not want to spend a fortune and or repower with different motor, I have looked for Reman short blocks, but no one supplies them anymore any suggestions?

They are still available... I don't know who, but my machine has a recent long block in it.

Machine shops should be able to reman that block all day long.

I'm sorry I don't have any "real" help for you, I'm just baffled...

Contact John Morris at link below, he has short blocks and everything to rebuild the ford motor. I just rebuilt mine and got all the parts from John.

I had a rod go through block 15 or so years ago . Found the 1.6 ford in a salvage yard from a 70 or 80 something Ford Pinto. Bobcat calls it " Indusrial 1.6".
Mechanic that rebuilt it for me before installing had no idea what was different about " Industrial 1.6". Turned out it wouldn't start for me , rotor was turning CCW., Just had to switch 2 plug wires . After telling mechanic , he replied " No sh** ! Glad you told me "

I found all parts through Reliance Parts & Northern Power Products but they are limited supply at both places but got parts, machine work done and back together and ready to reinstall in loader. Thanks
