Ok, I thought I'd throw this out there for a little insight before we tear her down... I was scooping a bucket of gravel, and bogged the engine down a little driving into the pile. Something broke between the engine and pump. There is a rubbing noise, like the blower wheel is rubbing in its housing, and the pump is pumping very little. just enough to quickly remove the bucket, and then push it in the shop. My manuals don't show alot of detail, other than I know there is a 2 u-joint block, and a splined shaft input in the pump. I'm very unclear of whats between the flywheel and that u-joint block. Basically just looking for a heads up of what is in there before I pull the engine and SURPRISE lol

There should be a coupler between the pump and motor, sounds like something here gave out, so surprises in there really.
