Good morning I am new to the forum and could use a little help please. I have a old bobcat 610 and my contol levers are very lose and sloppy. I found a set at the junk yard but I have never work on one of these and need instruction on removing them. I have have the owners manual but it useless for this job. I have the plate off but the actuator and shaft do not use a bolt, looks like a pin how do you remove it? Does it tap out?

If you are talking about the "splined" shaft that goes into the steering handle.....it generally comes out fairly easily. I have had a couple that seized and had to be driven out with a hammer and punch. Remember to take the bolt out of the handle itself.....it is rarely doing anything on a loose steering but remove it anyway. Also, It has been my experience that both the handle and splined shaft needed to be replaced to fully remedy the situation. Hope some of this helps. Good luck.
