I bought a Bobcat 610 vh4d motor for $160.00 just to rebuild it for a spare for my bobcat. The motor was completely there. After tearing all the way down I noticed a small area on the side of the motor where there was a crack in the block. So my question is ...can I swap my engine block with a regular vh4d block? Is it possible? I’m finding a lot of vh4d blocks on eBay for around 200 bucks....but they don’t say that they are out of a Bobcat 610. Any help you can give me would be appreciated. Thanks

I am not 100 percent on this but I would think if there were differences in engine blocks that the engine numbers would change , if it was just adding a a or b to show a change in the casting . so if all the numbers match you should be good . But to make sure take pictures and measurements of where your concern is and compare. good luck

Thanks for the information. I have noticed that some of the engine blocks that I was looking at don’t have the 3 tapped holes on the distributor side of of the engine for the hydraulic pump bracket...I was just wondering if there were any other differences. Thanks again
