Bobcat 543 filters

I have recently bought an old bobcat 543. The air filter housing is empty, i wanted to order a New filter, but the filters i can find for a 543 dosent fit in My housing? My housing is 20 cm long, and a filter for a 543 is 27 cm? Does anyone know if there were some models where the filter was diffrent? Also there is no spinoff fuel filter, the only filter between the tank and pump is a small White round Thing attatched on the fuel line. Did somebody make som crappy home repair? When i look at pictures of a 543 engine, it dosent look like mine at all, for example, the battery on mine is located on the left side, and the airfilter lies down instead of standing up.

Could be that your machine had had an engine transplant, with a machine of that age, there is no telling what may have been done to it. I have even seen machines repainted with improper decals applied, maybe your machine is not actually a "543".
