Bobcat 530 with a stuck spool

Just picked up a 530 project that has the lift arm spool stuck in the lift position. I check the entire linkage and it is free. The problem seems to be the spool itself. The spool is different than my 742. Is there a detent that could be stuck?

It is always a possibility, as the balls wear, they can get so worn tha tthe spring pops out and wedgs the cap in place.
