Bobcat 440B tire option inputv

Although the floation tire size for 440B is 23x8.50x12, I have found 25x8.50x14 6PR tires at a slightly better price. Only concern is the 25x will cause the machine to sit 1 inch higher. Since there is minimal travel of bucket below bottom of 23 tires, does anyone see a real issue of the 25 size? 14x5x4.5 rims are readily available as Ford OEM size. Bob the Treeman

Hi Bob,
Never really considered it. I use my machine quite a bit, and do not go through tires that quickly at all. How much cheaper are you talking?
I put new tires on my machine 10 years ago, and they are still 50% tread. I run mainly on dirt and grass, which helps.
One thing that I did learn is if you go to Bobcat for rims, price compare the ones from newer models. The ones for a 440b were about $150 each last I checked, where the ones from a 463 were about $85 (prices are in CAD, but illustrate the magnitude of the difference).
