Bobcat 440B belt change

Hi, i have a older Bobcat 440B with a 18 kohler magnum engine, i noticed the hydraulic belt is showing some wear and tear, i also noticed that there is only about a 1/4 or mabey 1/2 inch space between the pulley bolt and the side of the frame. not enough to slip the belt through. do i dare remove the pulley on the engine to change this? any suggestions? thanks paul..

Loosen the 4 engine mounting bolts and you should be able move the engine over enough to change the belt.
