I just picked up a neat little Bobcat 310. It not much of a looker, but at scrap price, it was hard to refuse. However, the first issue I need to correct befor doing a full restoration is replacing the fuel tank. I make no joke when I say that all that wa left was the top and parts of the sides. So, I've searched the net looking for replacement tanks and found nothing. I don't have an interest in getting a used one and would like to steer away from steel of possible. So I'm wondering if anyone know of a replacement poly tank? Or a poly tank that would fit into the cavity? I'm not looking to fill every square inch, but would like to get 3-5 gallons of capacity. I know someone has found a solution, so please share!!! Thanks

When I had my engine plate off, I noticed the fuel tank in my 310 was a blue poly tank, and it said “Kerosene” right on top. I am almost positive it was original as it still has the factory foam around it. I didnt pull it out to see how it was adapted to be used though. Kinda Looked like an old surplus fuel can you would see strapped to a jeep or something. Maybe this can help you locate something.
