Ok everyone I bought a bobcat 731 it worked fine for a while but after a while I found that the drives where a little noisy so. I check my hydraulic fluid and realized I lost the cap to the hydraulic. Noticed fluid had water in it so flushed system clean. cleaned bronze filter in middle 3 hoses it was dirty. Are there any others? Also ran skid steer after replacing cap and new filter and new fluid had hydraulic on one side then lost it on that side got the other side. First right side worked then left side worked but lost most right side. Thought maybe had still more water or dirt in filter so drain again cleaning filter and changed filter new fluid again started over now drives no movement at all or noise thinking I missed bronze filter somewhere or not filling it up the whole way with hydraulic fluid somehow. I do have lift and tilt they work great better than before changing oil. Just haven’t had drives right after oil change. Even when they worked after oil change not enough to go up hill. So is there prime method I’m not doing? Also noticed hydraulic filter wich I filled with oil before restart when I take it of it’s only like 3/4 full of oil after running machine. Seems like oil not returning to hydraulic filter enough

Ok so I really am learning a lot realizing I switched 2 hoses on pump one for filter and other one in prime. Thankful I got all my forwards and backwards back. However Manuel calls for 10w 30 or 10 w 40 in hydraulic line. I am having issues keeping power in forward and backward after running machine for a little bit. Oil cooler is clean. I also noticed that my drives are not original equipment. Some one replaced them at one time. I am wondering would I be better off running hydraulic fluid. In machine? Or is their still air in system? Anyone know best way to get air out of system? Also Machine definitely seems to move again in both directions so at least that’s a good thing. Just having trouble getting up the hills now. Hopefully someone has suggestions for me. ??????? Please help with how long to purge system or ways to get air out of system or would I be better off running Hydraulic fluid due to heat of fluid?

What you might try is getting all 4 wheels off the ground and running it for a while. The theory is with less resistance the air will work itself out quicker.
A floor jack at the back and lifting the front with the bucket will elevate it in a minute or two.
