backhoe conversion

Has anyone ever converted a backhoe from a tractor or trencher to work on a skid steer. All the ones made for skid steers that I see for sale here in FL are around $4000 and the other ones are only around $1000. Is there really that much differecne? Thanks Tom

I can't see why you can't. Can't say i have seen a trencher or tractor with one fitted.
As long as it isn't too heavy, it should work.
If you keep an eye out, they do come up cheaper than 4k, i got one recently for 1k without a bucket.

if its for a tractor just get a 3pt hitch plate for your bobcat. i'd try to get a hydraulic one not a PTO.
