Anybody have a link or something giving the compatibilty of the older backhoe attachments? I know a lot of contractors dont like them, but for a home owner like me. It would be great to have. Esp since they have gotten cheap. I have a 642b (converted to diesel) and a 743b. What backhoe would i want? Thanks

907 backhoe. I have one. the swing is deadly other than that its pretty good.
The swing speed can be controlled easily with adjustable flow valves or orifices in the lines. I have a old Davis which I had on a 632 before, you do have keep in mind how much your machine is rated to lift. The 632 handled the backhoe ok but it about the biggest one I would want on that size machine. You will dig ditches and holes where you never even knew you needed them.

the 909 would be alright on the 743 but would be too big for the 642. the 907 is just the right size. it's only about 5 feet tall. the 709 is well over 6 ft tall on the machine. anything more than that just get an excavator. i'm impressed with how much power it has.
