hello i;m back axle seal's on a l553 i gress i'm just not getting it.on the pagage that they came in. one said gasket this is a narrow seal with green around it which i think is the oil seal the other said element seal which i think is the dirt seal and it is wider than the one that said gasket.in a note i read today on this.the gentlemen said the oil seal was the wider one.which is the one that said element seal. so i'm really mix up. and can any tell me the year of this l553 serial #818917 thank you for any help.Jim

Ignore the descriptions on the packages. The wide seal is the oil seal and goes in first. The green one is the dirt seal. The lip of the dirt seal faces the wheel. The lip of the oil seal faces the chain case.

Usually heating with a torch in one spot will expand it enough to pry the sleeve off.
