Does anyone know or ever had to measure auxiliary pressure at the exterior ports? Thank you

That is the preferred location for measuring your available aux pressure, actually relief valve setting. A 3000 psi pressure gauge with the appropriate QD connected is what you need to do this.

I have done it before on a machine for a friend. As SR said, gauge, hose and a quick coupler is all you need. You can probably even get away without a hose.
Depending on the machine, you may want to go 3,500 PSI. Some newer machines run at 3,000 PSI so you want a little more on the gauge to not damage it.
