Has anyone tried to replace the aux switch on a Bobcat with something other than a replacement handle ($350)? The cover for the handle is missing. I can still see the center pin that the paddle moves. Can I just rock it back and forth to run the auxillary?

There is no reason why you can't just use your finger to wiggle the switch.
The older style had a 3 position switch with spring back to centre. The newer ones were a pot that spring back to centre, if yours doesn't have proportional control (the switch clicks when you move to left or right) just replace it with a toggle switch.
