I recently purhcased a bobcat S175 used (460 hrs). So far I have been just using the bucket for snow removal. But in a few more weeks when spring hits I will be renting attachments (and probably purchasing a snowblower for next season) that use the auxiliary hydraulics. So I have not hooked up anything there yet. Is there some sort of test I can do just to make sure everything works before I get an attachment out to the house only to discover I have an issue with the auxiliary hydraulics?

Certainly. You can test the aux hydraulics just by activating them. Push your “maximum / variable flow button (one on the white ones on the left dash) and the orange lite will come on. Now on the RH steering leaver push the thumb controlled paddle to the left and you should hear the motor labour . The labour should stop when you allow the paddle to return to the center position. It should also behave the same when you push it to the right, and stop when you release it.
Now pull the finger trigger on the front of the steering RH leaver. This time the motor will labour even after you release the trigger. Pull the trigger a second time to de activate the aux hydraulics.
The firts mode is for controlling attachments like grapples, auger etc where you only need momentary flow.
The second mode is for using attachments like brush mowers where you want the attachment to continue running for a longer period of time.
Hope that helps

One thing to add is the panel has a light for high flow because all the panels do but the unit may not have this option and wont activate as a result. Everything still operates as stated above.

Excellent guys, thanks. I will check this out this afternoon. And yes I know for sure I don't have high-flow. I'll post the results, hopefully all is normal (guess this is something I should have done before I bought it but I didnt' know how!)
