Hey all, I just changed the oil in my 743B and added some AutoRx. I'm hoping it will clean up the rings and help to increase the compression. Need to run it for about 50 hrs then I'll hopefully know if it worked? Anybody else ever try the stuff? Thanks BobCat.

Not sure how well it will work.
If the rings are indeed stuck, it may help but if it's just wear, it will not help.
Is it hard starting or just generally running poorly?
How much blow by are you getting from the breether tube?

The machine only has 1900 hrs on it and was very well taken care of. Even on warm days I have to glow plug it to start it. Once it's running she runs great. There is a little blow by coming from the breather tube. Like most internet shoppers I'm easily distracted by shiny objects and wonderful cure alls. LOL! We will see and I'll let everybody know the results around the 2000hr mark. Thanks Taz.

My V1702 does the same, when it's cold it wants a good glow. I think it's just the nature of the engine, the newer V2203 engines fire right up, even when it's cold outside. Even when i don't let it do the glow cycle, such a big difference.

AutoRx is one of the very few products I would put in my engine oil. It cleans very slowly and you need a rinse phase also of equal duration. Its no where close to your typical engine flush. Many people use it to clean up sludge. Others use it in cars/trucks auto-transmissions. Others for the ring-pack. Its certainly worth a try, while people report varying results on Bob Is The Oil Guy Com its never caused a problem that I have read about. The owner Frank is a good guy but lets just say at times he is grumpy. They answer emails promptly.
