Fellas: In process of converting my log splitter with 8hp briggs to run off my S185 BC. Looking local for flat faced faced fittings, found at farm store some Parker FEM series 1/2" & 3/4". The 1/2" have a flow rate or 11gpm and the 3/4" gpm is 26. First of all is 11 gpm gonna choke down/heat up hydraulic fluid, plus slow down hydraulic ram to a crawl????? I will assume so. If I bump up to the 3/4" which is what I am leaning, will they even fit S185 aux.'s I have one set of (2) on left, (3) on right for option on skidsteer. The price is more then fair, $26 for male, $32 for female.........Let me know will either of these work or not? Thanks, Bruce

Only the 3/4" flat face connectors will fit a S185. I just use fittings to get from 3/4 NPT to whatever size hose I use. A woodsplitter would never cause the oil to overheat nor would a smaller hose slow it down. Certainly nothing noticeable. You only runinto trouble like that with continuous flow like a hyd motor.
