My engine oil pressure light has come on after I was doing some work on the fuel system. Replaced lines, filters etc. This is on a 2005 RC85 I recently bought. The wiring is a mess on it and my gut feeling is its a wiring issue. I thought I might have knocked a wire loose somewhere. Lots of loose wires dangling around. Oil was recently change and looks good and oil filter was warm after a couple minutes running.
Can anyone tell me where the oil pressure sending unit is on this thing? Its a Perkins engine and I looked online for the 1104C-44 engine but cant find it in any of the likely spots on the block. I cant even find any plugged ports that I could test with a manual gauge. I've scoured both sides of the block.
There is some type of sensor on the fuel injector pump that has obviously been disconnected. Anyone know what that is for?
Also there is a canister above the muffler with a couple hoses I haven't traced yet. Anyone know what that is? Maybe something to do with the defunct air conditioning?
Thanks!
