I test drove a JCB robot, and really liked the side door entrance. Just wondering whether anyone has any experience with them. I'm thinking of the large 1110 with hi flow to run a mulcher. Any comments would be appreciated.

The only neg thing I'm aware of is that the door won't open if you want to run over the tire tracks. Not sure if this apllies to all models or not. I have never had the chance to see one in person much less try it out. Otherwise they seem to be a nice machine.

They are very exspensive to get parts for and imagine gong backwards down a long dark wall, with the wall on your blind side?

No thanks, I'll stick to a traditional skid steer.

The track model JCB I test drove had excellent visibility, in my opinion it was better than my T250. The power didn't seem quite as strong though. The ability to go through the front or use the side door is the real appealing thing to me because it seems like half the time I get out of my T250 I have to be an acrobat to crawl under the boom arms when I have certain attachments on it. I found the side door to be just as convenient as getting in my pickup. I am wondering how the hi flow hydraulics would keep up to a FECON mulcher brushing attachment. I have to agree though, dealer support is also an important factor which JCB does not seem to have up in the northwest.

There is a article in Farm Show on just what you are thinking. This guy has a 1110hf with a bradco mulcher and metal tracks. If you want to talk to him call Art Bargabos ph 434-546-0280 or [email protected] For all I know he may be a dealer or something like that, you can always send him a e-mail first through hotmail or one of those till you find out more about him.
