If you can't get warranty try to get a replacement cost in writting over a acceptable period.I don't know that they are that failure prone, but have heard $2500 give of take to change a joystick. And when they quit, you are not going to be able to fix it yourself, you will likely be winching it on a rolloff tow truck. Where as the std control machines don't fail and if they did any mechanic could fix you up for a few hundred. Personaly I have avoided sjc, but if thats all you can find and you need one asap, then what do you do?The new machine have 3 years on the hand controls for a reason, and the extra cost up front is not a plus at resale time, at least not in a private sale.Ken</blockquote>
