again idler bearing

in my former thread about idler bearing i was shouting to early. we took off the cover on the idler wheel, but the nut under is not coming off. it looks that it isn't made with thread in the holder frame. we are scared to break down the unit when we force this nut. somebody any idea how to get this wheel removed and the bearing out?

hi fishfiles, the machine we are working on is a S130. the idler has a spring system, with a pointer what works between "3 o'clock" and "1 o'clock". the belt where it is working on is a 3-track belt. makes it clear?

you can take that 130 idler apart and match up bearings for it at a bearing supply shop , there is locktite on the threads and you should put some back when reassembling ----- I use to save the old ones and rebuild them but lately I usually replace the idler from Bobcat , they are pricey but I find by the time I take it apart and run around getting bearings and reassembling it that the cost is right there anyway ,and a lot of times the pointer gets broken or the shims get destroyed it the bearing really disenergrated , doing it for yourself is a different situation and if it where my machine I would try and save a buck and rebearing it

Maybe they changed the design on newer S 130 's as the 250/300 is made differently , but the bolt use to just unscrew out of the shaft the bearings ride on , I would have to think that the threads have stripped out and the bolt is just spinning , can you do a pic of what you are working on

thanks for the link. pictures are under idler bearing S130 we can turn the nut, on the back where you see the nut it is turning as well, but then nothing happens. is there another trick (we don't want to force the unit, because we can't get another one is this very nice but not yet good updated tanzania)

That bolt looks like ut should just un-screw, very odd that it simply turns and will not come out..... The one i worked on was a different style, the bearing simply pressed off.
I have to agree with Fishfiles that it must be stripped out somehow.
