My father just bought a bobcat 863 second or third hand we just got it to start and it goes forward and backward and turns just fine the problem is with the controls for the bucket, I did get the bucket to go down once but that was from working the stick from side to side. I was hoping that someone in this forum had heard of this and might have a fresh perspective for me. Thanks

Is this hand controls and not foot controls for lift/tilt?
Yes it does have hand controls for tilt/lift. I did get it to work once by working the hand control for the lift back and forth and made the bucket raise the front end but could not make it raise or move anymore.

I have never worked on hand controls, i have heard enough horror stories to know to stay away if possible.
If you press and hold the lights button, i believe with the ignition off, it will flash up any error codes the computer detects. I cen never remember if it's ignition on or off to get the codes to display.
If it says none, it has not detected anything is wrong.

Thanks for the advice I do know that the B.I.C.S system does not light up I thought that it was the seat or bar sensor and tried to go through most of the electrical and make sure all of the connections were tight and not broke I will give what you said a try and go from there. Thanks again
