Hello everyone. Does anyone have experience with using a adapter plate for using mini steer attachments on a full size skid steer? My 753 flow rate is lower (14.5GPM) which is good for a lot of mini attachments but not so great for full size attachements. It is just for home projects so I don't mind.

But I need to find an adapter plate that will fit my full size bobtach so I can use mini attachments.

I see a few aftermarket one out there, just wondering if anyone has used one and any recommendations.

Thanks,
Dean

I have never used or seen one, but I have seen a few that convert mini set up to full sized skid steer attachments
the thing I would suggest is, if you find any made, look closely at the way there built, as I would think, a mini skid steer wouldn;'t have the power of a full sized one, and as such, they wouldn;t be built to handle the forces a fullsize skid can generate,
so you might need to reinforce some area's

that or just build yourself one, so you know its quality! they shouldn't be that hard to make I would think!
maybe look at salvage yards for a dead mini and remove there set up and add a skid steer plate to it? as an example!

food for thought any how

BUT if you do find and just BUY one, please report back how you like it and how well it handles things!

What kind of attachments are you planning to use?

Your 753 with 14.5GPM is actually a pretty sweet spot for mini attachments. I've used aftermarket bobtach adapter plates from Friday Parts before. Honestly, they work fine for light-to-medium stuff. Just make sure the plate is rated for your machine's weight class and the pin spacing matches up. That's where most people run into trouble.

Yeah I’ve seen people use those, should work fine for home stuff.
Just don’t go super cheap, some of those plates have a bit of play and it gets annoying. Also keep in mind you’ll lose a bit of lifting power and it might feel a bit different.

I have a Bobcat e32 with quick tach setup, I have a skid steer mount for my S590 that allows me to mount the attachments from the E32 to the skid steer. I use it for the auger, breaker and a narrow trenching bucket, when mounting a bucket it works best to flip the bucket to face forward and for this I made a attachment to achieve this, it also works great on the E32 and then you are digging away from the machine rather than digging towards the machine
