I've got an old 610 (78) that is still in pretty good working order. Just use around the farm for whatnots. I'd like to figure out a way to have some sort of grapple bucket. Thoughts? It could be a manual grapple if there's such a thing...but obviously would prefer hydr. What options are out there to add aux? Aux would be used solely for a grapple so wouldn't take much. Is this something I could add a valve with an ele. switch and get by? Taking on some land clearing and running into snags trying to find something suitable for my backhoe. Really need some way to rig up a grapple for the old bob. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Simplest would be a switch valve plumbed into either the tilt or lift lines. Flip a switch and the respective circuit controls the grapple.

Without dedicated aux hydraulics, Hotrod's idea is the best way to get around it. I guess it depends on what you want to spend on it.
Do your sums of what you could get for your machine and what another machine already plumbed for aux hydraulics will cost you, you may be supprised.
