parked about a week ago. tried to use today. starts but shuts down immediately when switch is in run position. When switch is held in start position will run, but as soon as it is released shuts down. No hydraulics either (bucket or fwd/bkwd. checked fuel and filter, good, checked oil and coolant good. checked hyd fluid good. did have to charge battery. it has a good charge. only change is temp has dropped drastically since last used. kind of stumped. Any ideas please? only has 380 hours on meter.

Does the 2040 have the electronics like a 2044. They have a charge pressure switch, a timer and a controller in the cab.

not that I am aware of. only switches in the cab along the front header and fuses on the left side at top. I did see a black box with a circuit breaker in the engine compartment. The breaker did not trip.

On our 2044 there is a controller behind a cover by the fuse panel that has a lot of indicator lights as to all the different systems. The timer is inside the front dash by the park brake switches. Other than that if you have a seat bar or seat belt switch they could be bad. You could try jumping across the switch
