Good morning everyone!

I believe I have a 1992 940E that I need some parts for. I'm looking for someone parting out a machine or even a dealer that's reliable. I need the following:

Tilt cylinder 170-33872 I need 2 of the rods as mine are badly pitted and crater the seals.

Aux hydraulic valve section 170-34090 if I cannot find this whole I do have all of the part numbers to do a rebuild

Seal kit 190-32773 I will need 4 of these when I rebuild or replace the aux valve section.

Are any of these parts interchangable with another manufacturer that anyone is aware of?

Any help would be appreciated!

I have a dealer local here that would be good to work with, the tilt rods are expensive i just rebuilt one for a customer round 290 each seal kits are round 35. i could have a local company make the rods for less. as far as the auxiliary parts i can check into them

Thanks for the response! I spoke with a machine shop yesterday and having new rods made seems to be the cheapest easiest option for me. The cylinder seal kits are around 35 each that I've found. Out of everything I listed the hydraulic valve rebuild or replacement is probably going to be the hardest thing to source. If you don't mind sharing your dealer I'd love to contact and speak to them. I've found some seal kits that claim to be correct on eBay but I'm not sure they're correct.

http://forsheysag.com they should be able to tell u whats available

Thanks again for the information and your time. I just pulled off 4 hoses that need to be replaced. I'll pull the cylinder rod out tomorrow. I'm absolutely in love with this thing.
They are good loaders, probably one of the smoothest running loaders ever built. if u have questions I have spent a lot of time over the years working on mustang loaders, (I still do)

I got quoted 825 to cut the rod ends off, and create new rods and then reweld them today. I'm not sure if that's a good rate or not. Seems reasonable for the amount of material and time all of this will take.

That 825 quote honestly doesn't sound too bad to me, especially if that covers both rods — cutting the ends, turning new stock down to spec, and rewelding takes real time on a lathe. If it's just for one rod, though, I'd maybe shop around a little more. One thing I'd check first before pulling the trigger on machining. Sometimes you can find aftermarket replacement rods for these Mustang cylinders for less and you skip the wait. I've had good luck with Friday parts, they carry a pretty solid range of aftermarket skid steer parts and the prices are affordable. Might be worth a quick search before you go to the machine shop. Either way, though, sounds like you're making good progress on it.

It was 825 for both new rods and rewelds. I didn't think it was bad but I had imagined it much lower to be honest lol! That price is still less than half of a new cylinder I was quoted. Thank you for mentioning Friday parts. I had no idea they even existed. The tilt cylinder lines that connect just above the battery were the tightest fittings I've ever come across. I ended up using a 3/4 ton chain come along to break them loose. One of them took multiple resetting before it was free.

Thats crazy money, i didnt check with my cylinder shop but, im guessing they could make brand new assemblies with new ends welded on for probably half that money. new rods from Mustang are around 280 each i would think that is the way to go

I was hoping for closer to 300 each but I'll learn I suppose. I just need them working.

Ha, that's the spirit. Sometimes you just gotta get it running and call it a day! lol.
While you're waiting on those rods, have you made any progress tracking down the aux hydraulic valve section?

No progress on the aux valve yet. I got a new linkage for it delivered and the reseal kits for the tilt cylinders have been delivered. I just made new tilt and lift hydraulic hoses for the right side in the engine compartment. Once I've sorted out my cylinder issues I'll start to try and crack down on the aux valve issue.
