I have a 1999 bob cat skid with hand controls. These hand controls operate a plunger that controls a variable resister. The resister is bad, bobcat wants to sell me a whole new kit, which includes both hand control, arms, handles etc. I think I need only the variable resister This is about 1/2 inch wide and 2 inches long. It glue's to a billet alluminum block in which a plunger that is connected to the hand control handle moves up and down and a small plastic piece swipes the resister Can you help with this matter

Sadly this part is not sold on it's own, it's part of the handle which naturally costs your first and possibly second born.
Depending on how handy you are, you may be able to find the required resistor on the net. I'm sure others would be interested if you did too.
I got some hard to get electronic components for an inverter welder from a place online called digikey, you can always have a look around and see if they have parts like these?
