I have a 97 873 with BICS. Since I have owned this, about 8 years, very infrequently the drives and hydraulics would lock up and the corresponding lights would be off. Recently it has been happening more often and yesterday it started happening about every 15 to 30 seconds. All I have to do is lift the bar, put it back down and all the lights would come back on. I watched the lights about three times and the power, bar and seat lights all remained illuminated at the time the lift lock and drive lock lights would go out. Looking for suggestions on cause. Thanks

I just went through a bunch of problems with this exact machine. The seat switch causes all kinds of problems. The cure ended up being a PTO kit (push to operate). If the seat switch (on the seat rail) has a glitch from a bump or whatever, the rest of the system isn't affected. The bobcat dealer sells this kit for $237. It replaces the BICS box on the right side, and a new switch to go on the overhead console. Total install time was a 1/2 hour
