Hello Skidsteer forum. I have a question on fixing a leak on top of the hydrostatic pump on my 1998 863F .(Leaks on one side) I have the "Bobcat" O-rings and the hard white O -Rings ready to fix the problem. My question is can I leave the Cable mounted at the U-bolt and remove the two bolts to do the fix? Or do I have to remove the U-Bolt , cable, mark where its mounted. Then remove the two bolts ? Any advice or hints would be Great! Thank you in advance and Happy Safe 2021. Todd

Well, Cancel the info request. I completed the fix! Worked out great. I did remove U-Clamp, then the two bolts on top. Marked the bottom "V" marked piece. Unscrew the one bolt (3/8" socket) It comes straight up. Then you are left with the larger shaft sticking out about 1/4". I took a pair of channel locks (Sideways), clamped just tight enough to Only Grab it , Not put the teeth marks on it. I used a very Large straight screwdriver and slowly lifted the shaft straight up. Both O-Rings were in bad shape. The smaller hard white O ring was BAD. *** the Large shaft has a cut out at very bottom...It only goes in ONE WAY. Bobcat mechanic said it you force the shaft in without Lining it up you Will Break the Small shaft pin off inside your Pump! The cutout on large shaft went towards Rear Axel/Tire. I replaced the rear right seals.(facing forward your Right) There are one on each side. Hope this Helps. Todd. 1998 863F

You did well, i have heard from others that you need to be careful, glad your dealer warned you about it, not all will even think to tell you.
