I have a 863 that smokes like a chimney and has low power. I have checked all the usual suspects, air intake restrictions, filters etc. It has been like this since I bought it at auction. I can stick my fingers into the turbo intake and it seems to turn freely but never hear any turbo whine and even if I run it up to high idle and shut it off I do not hear the turbo wind down. Is it possible for the turbo to spin and still be bad?? I see allot of folks selling turbos for the 863 so In assume they must fail on a regular basis but do not look forward to changing to turbo considering where it is. THANKS!!
