I have a major oil leak from the pump. It would appear that it is coming from the left side, shaft seal, behind the pulley. Do I have to take the entire pump out, or can I have that seal replaced by pulling the pulley and putting in a new one? The pulley is very accessable by taking the cover plate off behind the left rear wheel. It has splashed allot of oil around in the housing and on the belts, even into the cooling fan, so I would need to replace the belts and clean it up. Anyone?

If you can get the pulley off, i'm pretty sure you can knock a new seal in.
I have never dons it though, the pulley may be held on with a taper and key, so it may be quite hard to get it off.

Thank you Tazza, you are a wealth of knowledge. And it is nice that you share your knowledge. I plan on taking it in to the BC dealer, just didnt want to be told that the pump, as a whole, would have to come out. I am thinking the labour is going to be around 3 hours to do the job. What do you think?

If they can indeed gain access through the inspection cover, i can see it only taking a few hours. Being able to see the pulley and being able to get the sucker off easily is a totally different question. I'd assume they have the right gear for it to be able to do the job as quickly as possible.
I'd make sure you got a quote first, not simply say: fix it!
I'd bet they will find other things they want to fix too.
