i have a bobcat 863 f series with a deutz diesel. i was using it the other day on level ground when the engine just died as if i turned the key off now it will not start it will just spin over. i have checked relays fuses replaced oil pressure sensor checked fuel shut of switch and checked the transfer pump i can hand pump prime fuel to the filter and to the fuel pumps but nothing is going to the injectors any suggestions of possible issues and possible solutions thanks

Pull the fuel shut off solenoid connector apart. Does it look burnt? If it does, remove the solenoid. Try starting it. If the solenoid is the problem, it will start. If it does, you can snub it against the brakes.

Sorry I don't know much about your engine but, in general diesels have a electric fuel shut off solenoid on them. I'm assuming yours also does. It will be on the fuel pump with a (usually) single wire going to it. It should have power when the key is in the run and start position and no power any other time. Turn the key to run, and check if you have power to the solenoid at the terminal (with a test light) where the wire is attached. If you do have power, the problem may be the solenoid went bad. Have someone turn the key from off to run a couple times and feel/listen if it "clicks". if it doesn't "click" I would suspect the solenoid is bad. If it does click I would think it is working and start looking for other issues. For it to shut off like you turned the key off I think it is electrical, the shut off comes to mind first. Good luck.

the fuel shut off has power to it it is not burnt i can remove it and the motor will not start the solenoid is working as well with key on the arm throws out and back in on off . i can manually position the rack either way and still not get fuel to my injectors

Is the oil level OK or is it high? The transfer pump seal can leak fuel into the crankcase. They will normally still run. Just to start and idile, a dutez hardly even needs the transfer pump. It can be doing nothing and the engine will still start, won't have any power, but it will run. How's your timing belt?

The oil level is good and clean the transfer pump hasn't leaked any fuel in to the crank case. I haven't checked the timing belt yet . I am assuming it could have broke and has been my issue from the beginning.if a timing belt breaks will it not allow the fuel pumps to pump fuel to the injectors ?

If the belt breaks, it will not pump fuel because neither the transfer pump or unit injector pumps are moving because the cam isn't spinning. Broken belt means bent pushrods since its an interference head. Does the engine sound different when turning over, like it has no compression?

No it's turning over smooth same as it had before when it would start .but no odd noises or excessively fast spinning over as if a lost of compression. I will check the belt when I get back to the shop.

For ***** and giggles, did you start simple and change the fuel filter?

Did you verify the timing belt is OK?
is the motor gettin fuel up through the filter ??
if not go purchase one of the MR Gasket Green 12 volt fuel pumps this is what i did back when i had fuel problems on my 873 it help me get the fuel problems figured out as i was able to run it on the pump and a 5 gallon can of fuel as i redid my entire fuel line pickup tueb and filter , what ever you do ,, do not blow air back through your fuel line as it will blow off your hose and pickup screen .
