86 scat trak 1050 Oil question,difference between regular and Diesal oil.

IN the past forums i had asked about using 10w30 motor oil for the Hydrolics. found out this is ok. My question now, the Kubota 4 cylinder diesal engine uses the same weight oil 10w30 . is there a difference in using regular motor oil or does it need to be a diesal motor oil like rotella or delco 10w30.

Diesel engine oil has detergents in it to keep the engine clean. Never use standard oil in them.

That seems like a lite oil for a diesel. Of course I have older diesels which require heaver oil.
