So the fun begins, I picked up an 853 with a recently rebuilt engine, machine needs some work but I’m ok with that for the price I paid. One of the first things I need to address is the bucket curl, the bucket is tipped all the way down but won’t come back. Stepping up on the pedal you can hear the hydraulics working. Down on the pedal does nothing, please excuse my ignorance but I’m not yet that familiar with these. To my understanding, could be a solenoid. Where would that one be located. ??? I would like to check that first. And the wiring. The wiring in this machine is a mess, why I have no idea but a lot is butchered up that needs attention.
Thanks

When you say stepping down on the peddle does nothing, can you hear the hydraulics pumping?

If you can then it could be that you have a bad tilt cylinder piston seal.

Forward on the pedal, I hear it hissing the ram is already maxed out in that position, backwards on the pedal it does nothing, no signs of trying to do anything no engine load no hissing nothing

forward should be pushing the bucket down. Backwards should be tilting back. Check that the linkage to the valve is not jammed into the valve. I was selling a skidsteer and a friend was showing it. I don't know who did it but when getting on the seat they stepped on the front of the pedal and it was jammed. I had made a video already of everything working and spinning the machine in circles. The only movement to back was the play in the linkages. I got it on a lift where I could look up and see the problem. A hard step on the other direction pulled the valve free and it was okay. Don't know if the prospective buyer knew this and purposely did it, but of course they were trying to whittle the price down. I may try to put a limiting block on the forward movement of the pedal to prevent this, accidental or intentional.
