852 RPM drop

my 852 bobcat when set at mid or high throttle will drop the rpm down then come back up over and over. if set low it is not as much. I have been told that this model is know for the pickup tube to come loose in tank. What do you think. how should I proceed.

The pickup tube isn't a bad place to start. Even change the fuel filter.
I don't think the hunting it does is normal, it should be steady.
