Does anyone have the NAPA part number for the Hydraulic oil filter under the seat, on the right side (looks like a motor oil filter!). Thanks for all your help. Next step, is changing the chaincase oil. Great machine, just needs TLC. Great Forum.

You can look it up on the NAPA website, but as I found out with a WIX hydraulic filter for my 843, it was a replacement for the original part number and Bobcat updated the part number. In my case it was for the hydraulic filter in the engine bay. The correct Bobcat was longer by inches than the WIX. You probably have two hydraulic filters also. I looked at NAPA also and they were slightly higher than Bobcat. The local Bobcat dealer is giving me 5% off. If I were you I would get the CURRENT Bobcat part numbers and either get those filters or cross reference a NAPA filter to those numbers rather than look it up in the NAPA guide by model. For me the hydraulic filters were slightly over $100 (for both).

Thanks for the great info.

Thanks for the great info.
be careful with a crossover for the hydraulic filter , NAPA has a few different filters that will screw on but they come in quite a few different micron ratings and the guy looking it up might not have the one you really need and sell you what he has got , they all look the same on the outside but whats in them is different

Thanks fishfiles, I'll just go to Bobcat, if I ever get it out.

Have you checked that the oil and transmission lights come on when the key is turned to ON? If not replace both, they are tiny like a Christmas tree light. My transmission light would come on as soon as the engine was started. I changed the WIX filter to a Bobcat filter and it no longer happens. I will cut apart the WIX filter.

Let us know what you find when you cut apart the Wix filter.
I have gone back to using only Bobcat filters as my experience was the same; even more expensive at NAPA.

Bought a Bobcat Hyd filter (under seat) from Bobcat (had to use a screwdriver to get it out, had Melroe on the filter), now works great. Just needed TLC. Now I will start on changing the chaincase oil. Thanks for all your help, Great Forum.

Don't forget the other hydraulic oil filter in the engine bay.
