Hello,
I just picked up a skid steer off of FB Marketplace. It was listed as an M700. After seeing it in person and getting it home it looks like an 825, but it has a gas Ford 2.0 overhead cam engine in it.

It also has 16.5" wheels on it. All the specs I see show a 15" wheel. I suppose someone could have swapped wheels.

I haven't seen any 825's with a gas engine.

It will need work. Engine doesn't run, but turns over and seems to have compression.

All of the M700's I can see look different. This one also has an in line 4cyl ford versus the V4 Wisconsin

M700 photo below shows the round welded plates on the sides and the boom lift sits outside of the frame, mine set flush. The back section that the boom lift cylinders push against is triangle shaped on the M700 and sets outside of the main body. Mine is all flush.

Your machine definitely looks like an 825. Someone probably just re-powered it in the past.

Thanks guys. I've determined it is an 825. The engine repower was done ok. It will work for me. I found why it quit running. The crank timing gear woodruff key is worn down really bad. It didn't jump time, but was far enough off to not be able to start.

A bunch of new parts showing up next week😩. Guess I'm gonna have to paint it too😬
