I am bringinging an 825 back from a 12 year hibernation. Read the manuals and Drained ancient diesel and 26 gallons of hydraulic fluid. Read (in manuals and on this forum) about draining chain cases. Tilted cab and found wedge shaped cover. Removed it(didn't break any bolts!!!) and found hydro motor in like new condition! Was shocked how clean it was. Can see drive gears down below motor and can just glimpse chains in gallery's on either side. All stuff looks shiny new. used Suck Bucket(greatest invention ever) to clean out bottom of case I opened up. It looks like I got maybe another gallon of dirty water/oil. I thought the chain cases were separate from the hydraulic fluid reservoir? How do I get into the chain cases? I'm sure this will be the first of many questions so thanks for your patience in advance.
