i think it is a 4.108 perkins engine it acted like it was running out of fuel but it had got water in the fuel i drained it changed fuel filter and now i can get all kind of fuel to the injector pump but cant get any fuel to the injectors dont think it going through the pump cracked the fuel lines at the injectors but cant get any fuel thereIf its a rotary style pump you will need to re-set the timing, if its inline you don't as its done with shims.
Are you getting any smoke when cranking?
Crack the injector lines and crank, is there fuel coming out of the high pressure lines?
What engine does it run?
Even if it was out of time it would still get fuel at the injectors.... Coud the fuel shut off be sticking somehow? This would prevent any fuel getting to the injectors.i think it is a 4.108 perkins engine it acted like it was running out of fuel but it had got water in the fuel i drained it changed fuel filter and now i can get all kind of fuel to the injector pump but cant get any fuel to the injectors dont think it going through the pump cracked the fuel lines at the injectors but cant get any fuel there
The pump also has to be bled if air is alowed in. Should have small bleeder valves on the pump to let the air out. Might have one or two I have seen pumps built both ways. Once the pump is bled it can build the pressure it needs to fill the injector lines. It can be a difficult process if the battery or starter is weak. I always set the throttle to wide open when I bleed injectors so I get full flow from the pump. And like Tazza said make sure any electric or mechanical fuel shut off is working properly.Even if it was out of time it would still get fuel at the injectors....
