Hi Folks, I have the darndest time taking off, and putting on my Aux. Hydraulic Hoses (w/Quick Connect Couplers). I thought it was supposed to just pop on, and pop off. But, it is very hard to get them on/off. I have had to use a hammer and hold it on there and drive it on. My neighbor says that it's due to pressure in the line. But, I've been flipping the switch on the ignition - to the Aux. Pressure Relief position after I shut it off. I guess it isn't working. Is there some trick to this? What am I doing wrong? Thanks, Bob

After you install them, have you tried releasing them and reinstalling them? Is it easier after the initial install? If so, it is probably pressure related. If it is difficult every time you install them, you probably have an issue with the fittings themselves.

They are definitely the RIGHT couplers - when hooked up, they work correctly. In the past, I have actually unscrewed the hoses, popped the couplers on, (easily) and then screwed the hoses back on. So, it definitely seems to be a }pressure on the line" issue. I just want to know how the Auxillary Pressure Release switch works. It's apparently so that you won't have to fight with getting the couplers on and off. But.....I think there must be a correct way to do it. Anybody know what it is? Thanks, Bob
