Hi there, I am thinking of running either full rubber or steel with rubber pad (Prowler or McLaren) over the tire tracks on my 2001 773G. I am having a hard time finding first hand info out there. Has anyone run these types of tracks on a 773G? If so, what width of spacers were required and is one type better than the other? I have been told by Camso (formerly Solideal I think) that I would have to downsize my tires to 27" X 15" to run the full rubber ones. The steel seem to be easier to fit but again, there is limited/mixed info out there. I don't want to end up with tracks wider than my bucket either. I have a 72" bucket on my machine now. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

I have a 2002 773g and put steel tracks on when I bought it about 8 years ago. They are similar to Tracks Plus steel tracks and work great. I used 3 or 4 inch spacers (parked for the winter now and under a cover so can’t check). I have a 60” bucket and the tracks are a bit wider now but your 72” bucket should be ok. After having them off a few times I made two jigs to ease in reinstallation. One jig keeps the tracks flat between the tires and the other has bolts to pull the tracks tight when installing to the proper tension. Saves me tons of time and grief.lol. Tough call for you. Steel is cheaper but a little bumpy ride on a hard surface and may last longer than rubber depending on use. Good luck.

Thanks for the feedback. I have heard the steel tracks are not too bad but I was also wondering if the steel with rubber pads would fit without issue too.
