When I run the grapple bucket the grapple goes up fine but then leaks back down. Just changed hydraulic oil 2 weeks ago. After using the log splitter then it started doing that. It also is low on power because of it.
Could it be sticking auxiliary valve? If this is an old grapple, maybe the hydraulic cylinders ae bypassing internally. A simple test would be to open the grapples, then disconnect the hydraulic lines from the machine. If the grapples stay open, then the issue is in the machine. If they close, then the issue is within one or both hydraulic cylinders bypassing the internal seals. The timing of the ordeal may not be relative, just coincidental.
